FRESH START YOUTH RESIDENCE serves male children and youth from the ages of 7 to 16 years for short, medium or long-term placements.
FRESH START GIRLS RESIDENCE serves female children and youth between the ages of 9 to 16 years for short, medium or long-term placements.
Our programs have a five-year age span.
We hereby undertake that all referrals to FRESH START YOUTH RESIDENCE will be carefully screened and given our serious consideration. Any referring Agency will be notified first verbally and then in writing within twenty-one days of receipt of the initial referral.
Ideally, all referrals should be accepted, however, we must limit our selection to those clients who realistically fall within our expertise:
demonstrating low self esteem
demonstrating behavioural problems
physically and/or emotionally abused
sexually abused and receiving professional help
runaways
exhibiting minor delinquent behaviour
exhibiting socializing problems
mental health problems
suicide ideation
Referrals that exhibit predatorily sexual abuse and severe mental health problems will not be considered appropriate for the type of program we run at FRESH START YOUTH RESIDENCE.
